BirdNET Live
An intelligent network for identifying birds, observing biodiversity and bringing communities closer to citizen science.
BirdNET Live combines artificial intelligence, environmental microphones, cameras and autonomous solar-powered systems. Its stations identify bird species from their calls and produce data for education, research and biodiversity protection.
The project creates an observation network accessible to schools, associations and local communities. Each station becomes an open-air laboratory where technology and nature meet.
The model can be deployed in protected areas and ecological corridors, with a focus on the WWF Oasis of Persano, the Calore River and the Polveracchio area.
