CAMBIAMO ARIA 2025
An exciting experience at Mostra d’Oltremare in Naples, where students from I.C. Palatucci in Campagna received the Campania Region’s Environmental Award for creating an air-purifier prototype.
Selected from hundreds of participating schools, the project marked our third award in the Cambiamo Aria programme for innovative and sustainable projects.
Powered by a power bank, the prototype draws ambient air through a fan and passes it through a pre-filter, an activated-carbon filter and a fine-particle filter. Measurements taken before and after purification demonstrated the effectiveness of the system and its potential for indoor use, especially in polluted cities and homes where particulate levels exceed WHO thresholds.
Students designed several components in Tinkercad and printed them on a Bambu Lab A1. The project helped them understand the importance of healthy air while developing practical design and manufacturing skills.
